A cold day.
I put my hat and mittens on to walk to work this morning. At the pedestrian crossing next to the office I bumped into Greg. He had a big coat on, but no gloves or hat, and he had obviously washed his hair just before leaving the house. He looked like he was going to die of exposure.
'I don't normally feel the cold.' Says he.
I'm fairly sure Mars was in alignment with Uranus or something because if something could go wrong it did. A key member of staff called in sick, two folk couldn't get their PCs working at all. The photocopier/printer/scanner chewed up a bit of paper but failed to spit it all out, so that it had to be dismembered to retrieve the offending scrap. Vital bank files failed to load. Someone accidentally took money out of the account I'm responsible for. Someone else put some money in without explanation. The big stapler ran out of staples, which out of all of the events of the day struck one member of staff as being the single biggest disaster.
Basically it was 'One of those days'.
