Another 'one of those days'.

So yesterday was a bit of a saga. Today was even worse. 

It turned out the key person who has gone off sick has taken the secure cupboard key with him. Oh the angst over filing. 

The newly stocked stapler bit a valuable document and wouldn't let go. More drama. 

Then the highlight of the day, someone started clearing out the staff fridges in the kitchen and uncovered a piece of salmon that had been there since Christmas. The rank rotten fish was bad enough, but by the time they'd been round twice with the air freshener I had a headache. 

John's hot-water bottle leaked all down his trousers, (don't ask, please just don't) and someone decided that 4pm was an excellent time to release two hundred amended deals only admitting that it wasn't a brilliant idea when three people pointed out that the deadline for clearing from the system is 5pm. 

All in all a very entertaining and eventful day. 

I think someone in another team has complained about me because my team manager told me that if people found other people annoying it is probably because those other people are doing their job properly. 

Oh dear. 

Never mind. The new cafe is showing signs of being ready to open....
