The importance of lables

Our loading manifold, underneath and connected to these pipes are the hoses that we pass to supply vessels for loading the various things we need. Fresh water, fuel, cement to name just a few.

They are labled (and colour coded) for easy identification of which hose is which, just imagine if we passed the fuel hose down by mistake thinking it was the fresh water hose to load fresh water which would end up in the fuel tank.
Or passed the cement hose down thinking it was the fresh water hose to load fresh water which would end up in the cement tank. Unthinkable really, and would constitute a major nightmare.

It's not just these either, most of the piping on the rig (and there is a lot) has to be labled and colour coded so we know what is inside the pipe. We couldn't have the welder cutting into a fuel line by mistake, oh no :-(
