Meeting the Author, Peter May

A bright but chilly day.

A busy day for me - having bloods taken in the morning in advance of my Pacemaker procedure next week - Bible Study in the afternoon, and in the evening, attending a Meet the Author event in Dundee Central Library with Peter May.

Peter has written the Lewis Trilogy, Entry Island, a series set in China and a series set in France.He spoke about his life and his approach to writing  but centred mostly on his new book, Runaway. This is his most autobiographical book to date and tells the story of a group of Glasgow teenagers in the sixties who runaway to London. Some of them then return 50 years later to revisit the place where events from their youth had had a profound effect on their lives.

He is well into his UK tour but he was as fresh as if he had just started.
Afterwards, Peter signed books for everyone. He is a fellow blipper (PeterMay) and he was very happy to have a photo taken for my Blip.
