We had real weather back then

And a real high street. George Street 2015 and 1960 (ish).

Surprising how much more snow there appears to be in old pictures of my town taken in winter. We had none last year and to-date, little more than a light dusting this year though that could change.

Tim had a hospital appointment today regarding a lump in his mouth. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing, but I know how he must be feeling - it's the uncertainty that is difficult to deal with. Fingers crossed for him.

Rosina asked me to check the oil in her car the other day. She said that the warning light was on - you know she said, the gravy boat one. After I had stopped laughing, I realised that she has never seen an old fashioned oil can, so a gravy boat is probably the nearest thing to it. You just don't see them any more do you. It took two bottles of oil to bring it up to the right level. Goodness knows how she has not had the engine seize up on her!
