Grown up!

You know how *some* bits of having small children seem endless? Like the not sleeping through, and the not wanting to be put down? And then there are the endless readings of favourite books - I hope I never have to read 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea' ever again - and playing CDs of nursery rhymes in the car.

And then, one day, you find yourself putting them into a school uniform and you think "Bloody hell, where did the time go?!"

I had that in spades, today.

It was Izzy's birthday earlier in the week and today Hannah and Charlie came home from university so that, along with Milly, we could have a birthday lunch at the cottage. When they were small one of their favourite meals was "sandwiches and crisps", so we had that along with a few other bits and pieces.

We were saving the cake until Dan and Abi joined us later on, so we decided to take a stroll down to Devil's Bridge to walk off our lunch. When we reached the bridge, Izzy asked her boyfriend, Michael, to take a photo of them all. I took this shot while they were posing for him.

And I thought "Bloody hell! They're all grown up."
