Tarry sheds
This morning we headed off to the cinema in Aberdeen to see Testament of Youth, the film based on Vera Brittain's experiences in the Great War. How she, and the millions of others bereaved and scarred by that catastrophe, managed to get on with their lives I shall never understand.
We arrived in the city rather early so we took a walk to Footdee, the old and very photogenic fishing community at the mouth of the river Dee. I can't resist the old tarry sheds, so here is yet another photograph of a couple of them. I'm beginning to understand Monet's infatuation with Rouen Cathedral!
