Flowers for the weekend
Another cold and frosty morning, it was -5C at 5.30am when Gavin went for his morning run. I went to a lovely coffee morning to meet up with a friend who now lives in the USA, and it was good to catch up and see her again.
A quick stop at Waitrose to get groceries for the weekend and I treated myself to these beautiful pink tulips. They are a wonderful promise of the end of winter and spring being around the corner (being a bit optimistic there!)
We are going to watch Thomas' hockey match tomorrow which is against quite a tough opposition - the team has done so well so far, so fingers crossed for tomorrow. We also have to discuss his GCSE options this weekend as on Monday we have to submit his choices, it seems so early in his education to be eliminating certain subjects.
