Goal!
Can you see the ball? Thomas said I should have coloured it red so you could see it clearly, but everyone knows that hockey balls are usually white. Sadly today's match did not favour Thomas team. Last year the same opponent beat them by a large margin (they are a strong hockey school) so this year we were prepared for another hiding. However, at half time Thomas team were winning by 3-1, but sadly the final score was 3-7. It was not easy taking photos as they had a high diamond mesh fence around the hockey pitch, so all the photos were taken through the fence, and this goal was right on the other side of the pitch so I had to zoom right in. (This is a goal against Thomas' team).
The steroids are slowly starting to work and Luke's rash has stabilised and starting to improve. Within a day or two it should hopefully all disappear. He is going back to university tomorrow, and the doctor thinks he is over the worst of it so hopefully no more setbacks. He has to stay off sport and alcohol for another two weeks, which is not easy for a student but I know he will be sensible as he was very ill and does not want to go back there again! He is very frustrated not to be playing any sport and has already missed some important hockey matches.
So a quiet night in, probably relaxing in front of the TV. While Luke has been ill he has watched quite a lot of TV, and when he goes back to uni he is hoping to continue watching the series of War and Peace, Silent Witness, Shetland - not the stuff students usually watch but he enjoyed watching them with me and now has got caught up in those dramas. As he says, he can't go out drinking for a while so he may as well watch BBC iPlayer.
