That magic temperature

That would be three degrees give or take. There is a short range of temperature around this  -  one to five degrees or so, that is incredibly miserable. It makes you ache, shiver and cough. It feels colder than below zero and makes you thoroughly bad tempered, leaving you feeling like you must get back to that warm bed. Today was like that. When you trod on the snow it turned to Slush Puppy and the air just drenched you. We went to the wood it was very still, dripping and cold and all the noises seem different - eerie. Nothing to look at, nothing to do. Think I will look at the sky.
