Tiptoe Thru The Tulips

Tulips were always going to be today's blip but the title was inspired by the DPS weekly challenge of music! I'll try and blip something more musically appropriate tomorrow but I needed something bright and cheery today.

Stella's V E T visit didn't go as smoothly as hoped though we're in agreement that the lump probably isn't anything to be worried about and can be left alone once it's had a biopsy. Unfortunately the falling over isn't looking like a symptom of her arthritis, especially as she can move very fast indeed when she feels like it, but rather like something neurological hence a spinal x-ray next week then possibly back to the posh vets for an MRI. I'm correct in thinking she's unlikely to be in pain but sometimes it seems her brain has little idea what her back legs are doing. I took my eye off the ball checking her toes for any lumps and bumps as that was where we were expecting them. 

As always I'm going to look on the bright side and be very pleased indeed that the falling over isn't accompanied by loss of control of toilet functions which is very often the case!

We've all agreed that Stella is one of the unluckiest dogs at the practice  but also that invasive surgery would be pointless at this stage. 

It's a sad fact that she's getting no younger and this condition may well continue to deteriorate. There is another drug we can add to her prescription to give her a better quality of life and while she's in good spirits mostly that's the route I'll take.
