Swanholme Lakes
Today I wanted to go somewhere specifically for taking photos as it's quite a while since I'd done that. So I asked Brian to take us to Swanholme lakes, just outside the city.
There was a variety of bird-life around the lakes, we saw pochard (red crested and common), tufted ducks, wigeon, little egrets, and even a quick flash of a kingfisher! Brian most likely will go for a bird shot so I will go for scenery!
The light was quite good, and the lakes looked pretty. I prefer it at this time of year while there is less foliage. When all the trees and bushes have their leaves they hide the lakes apart from at the designated viewing points!
After that we had a quick trip to Morrison's for tea and tomorrow's lunch.
