Boring Can Be Beautiful, Maidstone

A cold day today but still managed to get up early and go for a run before breakfast and felt better for it. It helped clear my head a bit from all my working week worries and stresses.
After a quick bacon roll for breakfast we had to pick up my Dad and take him for his hip replacement check up at the hospital. This was where today's shot was taken - it was just a rather boring bike shed that was transformed into something rather austerely beautiful by the strong morning winter sun. It also caught the striking blue concrete floor.
My Dad's check up went really well so we went for a quick drink and bite to eat afterwards as a small celebration. He is still on crutches but is getting quicker and moving more easily and it's great to see.
