Streetlight sentrys

The whole of our village is having the street lighting replaced.  Since December we have had the old and the new side by side and there has been a gradual switch over.  Here the old (yellow) lights are operational, but a little further down it's the newer taller (white) lights that come on at dusk.

So all the pairs of street lights are currently surrounded by these fences, and behind the fences, a trench dug between the bases of the street lights.

I'm finding it all very interesting.
