The continuation ...

From Edinburgh to Doha and then on eastwards with one of the classic carriers of the Far East : Cathay Pacific.

Land in a balmy Hong Kong (20 degrees.) Check in to a grand hotel on the waterfront  and are entertained by our hosts equally grandly.

I have always wanted to cross Hong Kong harbour by the Star Ferry. Now I  have!

When HK was handed back to China in 1997 we renacted the events at our school. We even had a cardboard Royal Yacht.

Today Britannia is permanently berthed at a shopping mall in Edinburgh and this Junk in HK harbour has a motor!

An evening stroll along the promenade after a wonderful meal overlooking this oriental gem of a waterfront.

Regular readers will realise that I have been busy and out of easy wifi range while in China. I am now at Doha and fly home later direct to Edinburgh. The new blip makes back blipping very difficult on my phone so will back blip when I get home to my Mac.
