Early morning exercise

The first load of manure was due to arrive at 8.00am on this bright but cold morning. I was the first to arrive at just after 8 to find the chap at the gate waiting to get in. For the first hour there were only three of us carting the contents of the trailer. I completed the last of our compost bins and filled it with 9 barrowloads of manure then carted a further 6 loads to the communal manure area.

Apparently there were at least 3 more loads of a similar size to be delivered but I was not able to help as we had things to do during the rest of the morning so I scived off at 9 to go home for breakfast. By that time the chap had left the site to fetch the next load. That left only two people to cart the stuff. I hope more came later in the morning or I can imagine that there will be a rather large pile of manure standing, steaming, on the main path.

We needed to go into town during the morning, so that was the reason for disappearing at 9. Then there was rugby in the afternoon - watching another referee. It turned out to be a good, close game, one of the best I've seen for a while. But cold in the bright sunshine.
