"Dance fixes everything"

5years 100days 

Katie's not been right today, after yesterday's escapade. I have found some major bruising on the inside of her upper lip, its purple. And the inside of her lower lip is quite a mess. That said, she had slept well and eaten ok so I took her to school as I thought it might distract her, and she didnt want to miss the visit from Zoolab. But her teacher said she'd been "dazed" all day and not quite herself. At home time, I lifted her up and she just snuggled in. She said she wanted to go to  ballet but when we got there, she didnt want to dance, although she didn't want to go home either. I think she'd got fed up of people at school fussing about her mouth- by the time we got to dancing, she wouldn't take her scarf down from her face and buried herself in me. She went in and sat with her teacher watching for a while before eventually asking for her shoes and enjoying the class, in her school uniform. At the end of her class, she asked for her leotard. She then changed into full uniform and did the whole of the next class too. 

As her principal said, "Dance fixes everything". At least, it certainly does if you're a little Katie.
