Yikes!

On the main road going through our picturesque New England village sits this derelict house.  A family still lives here, actually a mother and daughter and son-in-law I think.  The mother is quite old and I haven't seen her all winter, but she is out and about in summer.  I'm sure at one time it was a lovely home but circumstances have brought it to this.  I hope they are warm and fed (I do think they are).  They were at one time quite prominent in the community (maybe they still are as I am not so much) and it just makes one realize how easy it is to judge and define people by how they live or look which of course is not always who they are.
