Snowy Moss
We so rarely get snow in these parts that this amount of snow would probably bring the roads to a halt. Snow usually seems to pass us by.
That said, we did once feature on BBC news as a village cut off by snow when a group of girl guides were airlifted out of the village by helicopter. The reporters who had been alerted to the incident and who drove here from Birmingham did ask why a helicopter was needed when they could drive there. As I recall it, we even had a milk delivery that day. The truth apparently was that one of the Guides' parents was a bigwig in the RAF or something.
Anyway, the little bit of snow that has persisted overnight looked lovely on this moss
