We decided to cross the Pennines for a weekend in Grasmere. Hoping to try a Lakeland Park Run tomorrow at Fell Foot on the shores of Lake Windermere followed by a walk and then orienteering on Sunday.

So pleased we made the decision despite weather warnings. We took the northern A66 route and then cut the corner to Grasmere through St. John's in the Vale. This is just one of the views in the vale.

Just curled up in the warmth having had an afternoon stroll along the shores of Grasmere and a splendid meal at Sara's Bistro. What a great way to end the week.
