Derby Day cabbages

Every year, in the glasshouse (for Spring and Winter) and in the garden (for Summer and Autumn) I plant Derby Day or Ranfurly cabbages.

They are brilliant - very compact (their hearts are only approx 15cm in diameter and they take up minimal growing space in small gardens); firm (no bugs get inside them so they are easy to cut up); they keep well when they are ready and don't "explode" into seed; .... and most important of all they are very tasty as cooked cabbage or as coleslaw.

They are definitely the easiest and most successful vege that I grow.

Highly recommended!
