I went out to help pick up this motorcycle...postponed some other plans to make time. When we got there he realized that we couldn't lift it, and I realized that he didn't have any plans to allow two weaklings to lift a full sized 400cc motorcycle into his truck.
So he called around, trying to find another lifter.
It wasn't happening, so we left.
Later that evening, I was getting ready to go to chorale rehearsal and I saw some of the most incredible sky out of my balcony doors...went out and started shooting the way it worked with the artificial lights as the sun fell. Actually, I had to wait until decently after the sun fell to get what I needed, and ended up getting out the tripod and being 20 minutes late for rehearsal, but WOW WOW WOW. It was so exhilarating to see that light and know how it was going to end up, and it reminded me of a movie I just saw, Owning Mahowny, about a gambling addict banker. I think Tuesday night I probably felt approximately like Mahowny did that last night at the Atlantic City casino, when he was up. Fortunately, I quit while I was ahead.
