Roald Dahl Plass. Cardiff Bay.

This public space in Cardiff Bay was once part of the docks known as the "Oval Basin". Now filled in, it has become a popular visitor attraction because of its association with several television programmes such as Doctor Who and Torchwood. The main feature is the large metallic water tower at the far end which is 70 feet high and has a constant stream of water cascading down. The basin is surrounded by many smaller illuminated towers which when lit up at night look fabulous in all their blues, greens and yellows etc.  This area is often used to hold concerts and other cultural events including the annual food festival which I have to say is pretty spectacular!
