Edinburgh Collection - Canongate Tollbooth
Edinburgh is a cold place when the wintry winds come from the east and it was bitterly cold today.
The intention was to spend some time with the camera but a change of plan was a visit to the National Gallery, first of all to see the Turners in January and then a look at the very impressive exhibition by the Royal Society of Watercolourists.
I walked to Easter Road via the Canongate and decide on a blip of the Tolbooth and its clock which I had pictured on my photography tour in the summer. The tollbooth goes back to the 16th century, the clock is 19th.
Football Footnote - Hibs squandered enough chances to win several games and paid the price when they lost a goal late on for a 1-1 draw.
