Aquilegia
I had a few choices of blip from my dog-walking today. Mostly, flowers, the butterflies are too frisky for me and ducks, though plentiful, have all been blipped before.
These have sprung up almost overnight in the gloom by the shore where they shine in the dim light.
Aquilegia (Columbine; from Latin columba "dove") is a genus of about 60-70 species of perennial plants that are found in meadows, woodlands, and at higher altitudes throughout the Northern Hemisphere, known for the spurred petals of their flowers.
Do they look like doves?
