Malmesbury Abbey
I've just spent half an hour keying in this entry, only for it to disappear in a puff of Blipfoto smoke.
So I'll get straight to the point before the gremlins strike again. I went to Malmesbury Abbey with fellow camera club members, it was the first time I had been there even though I live only 30 minutes away, and I wasn't able to use my lovely Manfrotto tripod because I have lost the mounting plate.
Anyway, I dug out an alternative tripod and although it is much flimsier, this didn't matter once I was inside this fine old building, and away from the strong wind.
I think that's what I said in my original post - but in a lot more words!
