Ed comes to town

I'm working on a project on the Labour Party's election campaign for my university course, so a visit by Ed Miliband to my home town of Stroud was heaven-sent!

I went equipped with my new 70-200 f2.8 lens - and I really needed it in the low light.

I had to rub shoulders with many press photographers and TV cameramen as we took shots from all angles. It was huge fun working alongside them and learning from their methods.

Miliband receives a lot of criticism but I have to say he was very accomplished. In fact, the 90-minute session was both interesting and enjoyable and I left feeling much more confident in his abilities.

I even got to shake his hand afterwards!
