Ice sculpture
The walk today was breathtaking - literally. I started out on one path and quickly changed my mind as the wind was so fierce and freezing and instead chose a path through the woods keeping my numbed fingers crossed in case a stray limb fell on either me or one of the dogs. As i sat in the car at the end of the walk to listen to music and thaw out before attempting to drive home I watched with fascination while groups of sparrows, dunnocks and one robin busied themselves around the leaf litter, recently exposed by the thawing snow, to find tasty insects to eat. Once home I noticed this ice sculpture hanging off my greenhouse glass and, yes, i have flipped it 180' as it looked more interesting that way.
