View from the Helm

Today's the day .................... to look to the hills

A lovely crisp winter day today - perfect for a brisk walk on the Helm, the limestone ridge to the south west of Kendal.

I'm sure the temperature didn't rise much above 0°C all day but there was little wind and it was very pleasant in the sunshine.  There's still a fair covering of snow on the high fells and it's likely to remain that way for a while yet ..............
