Upper Cascades Aira Beck.
After lunch we decided to go out and have a walk at Aira Beck looking for snow and ice shots.
Unfortunately the last few days with day time temperatures above freezing had cleared a lot of the snow off the rocks. The path down to the stream was for me the most dangerous part, it had been trampled into ice by other visitors. Stepping off the path made walking very easy compared.
I tried some shots of the largest of the falls in that area but was more drawn to this combination of silky water and the ice on the rocks formed by the splashes from the stream.
