Guardian of the Brook

Another storm is moving in this afternoon and this evening, so the sky was gray and overcast when I took this picture in the late afternoon. This is a "guardian" figure made out of metal by Iron Art, a sculpture artist studio in the area here - this piece was made by the artist's son. I found it in the tall grasses last summer when I moved into the place and resurrected it in the fall before I left. I love the way it seems to be defending my place from anything untoward that might arise from the brook valley below.
