Britain in grip of Arctic freeze

Well, maybe not. But Harrow had a dusting of snow at first light this morning. The way the news media and weather forecasters go on about it, anyone would think we're all doomed: Expect major travel disruption.... don't travel unless it's absolutely necessary.... and so it goes on.

In reality, by the time I got to central London there wasn't a trace of snow visible anywhere.
