V2 Bomb

In case you don't know, the V2 was one of the types of bomb that the Germans launched at us during the Second World War. This was the successor to the V1 (the Doodle Bug - named because of the strange noise it made as it flew overhead) and was much more devastating in both range and power.

The reason I have posted one on here is that you can see the top part of this one from the platform of London Bridge station, and it has become one of those familiar if somewhat quirky London landmarks. Hopefully the re-working of the station won't interfere with this historic artefact.
