Icon #1 La Virgin del Carmen.

This mini tiled icon is on the wall of our neighbours house. It is the 'Virgin del Carmen', which is the local patron saint for fishermen. We are actually 15km inland from the sea, so I am curious to find out why they have this particular one. (Especially as the wife is English and the husband from way up north in Asturias.) I am sure I will be enlightened soon!
