Sun spot....
Driving home from a small foundry I use to mount bases, etc., the view down the valley caught my attention as the sun ate a hole in the clouds. The southern end of the valley caught a bit of snow; we are still melting in the north valley. Maybe we'll get a huge dump this month...just as last year. For now, landscape photography is as dull as dishwater.
Saw the next-to-the-last film last night: "Wild". Reese Witherspoon effectively portrays a young woman who tries to turn her life and her objectives around on a 1,000 mile hike along the Pacific Crest Trail....from desert to snowy mountains. She practically loads a houseful of useless stuff into her monstrous backpack. It's the '70s so she piles in big books...no Kindles here...about 50 lbs of water in one bag alone, and more stuff than she can safely or sanely carry. Lesson learned....never carry a pack that weighs more than yourself. Her acting was very good and it was an enjoyable film....soundtrack: Simon & Garfunkel.
