The Colour of Silent Pool

I took this very early this morning.  Silent Pool's water shows all the hews that only spring water can. The snow accentuates the colour even though there wasn't a glimpse of the sun. 

Less than an inch of snow and there was already a car upside down on the A25 at 5.30am and another couple that had slid off the road. It made my blood boil  when I saw some of the early traffic was racing through as if there was no snow at all .  Really? Kill yourself if you must but, it's not fair to slaughter anyone else you crash into! 
By rush hour the traffic was virtually at a standstill and, it seems, that the rest of Surrey wasn't faring any better. 

Now the snow has all but melted and the sun is out.  I could go for another photo but, I think I'll have the snooze I didn't catch this morning instead.  Before I do, the birds are hammering the feeders and I had better order some more feed!
