Bullfinch

This is a male Bullfinch, eating the shoots off branches at the very top of our cherry tree, photographed through a double-glazed window at a very sharp upward angle.  He has been here most mornings over the last fortnight or so (in fact he had a friend with him yesterday) but stays right at the top of the tree.  If I open the window, he flies off and doesn't come back.  I hope he leaves us some buds for flowers and cherries even though the cherries are very sour and only eaten by the birds and mice.
