A tasty cone
Today I went out with the U3A Bird Watching group. We went to Wood Lane which was mostly frozen over. There were a lot of birds around and we were pleased to see a kingfisher flying backwards and forwards.
Three of us who could stand further cold walked round Colemere. We were rewarded with goldeneye, grebe and goosander. I had to choose this grey squirrel for the blip though, we watched him sitting in a tree and eating the seeds from a cone. They cause a number of problems but they still put on an entertaining show!
We finally went to The Mere in Ellesmere to see the birds there and have a chat with friends that work in The Boathouse.
