Ill met by moonlight...

A frustrating day, in which everything took ten times as long as it should have and I didn’t manage to do a scrap of work. I wasn’t even going to post a blip, until I remembered this blurry shot, taken with the mobile when I looked out of the window in the course of a largely sleepless night and saw the full moon gazing down at me. I wish I could have done her more justice.

As you can see, down at street level, it is as bright as day, which I believe causes severe problems for a pair of hummingbirds. I used to think they started chirping just before dawn, but now realize that it’s virtually all night long. The lighting has turned night into day and we’re upsetting the natural order.
