Mo's picture story

Yet Another Country Park!

A real change of location for us today, to Mugdock Country Park near Strathblane.  Thoroughly enjoyable walk round the loch only slightly hindered by some dangerous sections of path where compacted and refrozen snow was covered with ice; must have been sponsored by Replacementhip.com, given the clientele.

Silly that we haven't visited the Park before as there are so many great paths and it is a lovely area.  Added value was the Castle, its history dating from the 13th Century but reaching to ownership by Sir Hugh Fraser post 2nd World War  so you can see the ruins of wall slits for archers but also the place where the Anderson shelter was situated.  Odd!
