Recently discovered the delights of porridge, made from the real stuff. As a kid, I loved Ready Brek (central heating for kids) with added sugar or syrup, combined with very bad porridge at a couple of hotels in my time, reminiscent of wallpaper paste.
Having had a vile cold and feeling very sorry for myself for almost a week, I pushed the boat out and actually made it in a pan. 
Strawberry jam added; what do you put in yours?
