To Spot the Difference
A couple of days ago I said that it would have to be quite a mild day for my honeybees to visit the nearby snowdrops.
Today was such a day. It was relatively mild and the sun was shining. I only had to wait for a few moments before a honeybee arrived.
So here she is doing her duty to provide nectar for her newly expanding colony. She is an old bee, one of perhaps ten or fifteen thousand that survive the winter. Sadly her work is nearly done. She will soon be replaced by the increasing number of new bees that will now be hatching out in the hive.
