Ruthie!

We had another fun visitor today, Ruthie, and her mom, Kathryn. Kathryn and I have known each other for a while, through our local food coop, but having babies has given us the chance to actually get together and learn more about each other other having a quick chat in passing. Ruthie is six months older then Cole (she's ten months old) but it's hard to tell that from the picture other then the fact that she's sitting up by herself. My little guy is so big! She is in the exploration stage, a place we'll be at very soon. Kathryn and I have quite a few things in common: we both like to grow and prepare our own food, we like to exercise, we are dog lovers, and now we both have babes! I look forward to spending more time with her and Ruthie. One really cool thing that Kathryn does is teach classes on topics like fermentation of vegetables and herbal preparations for medicinal use. Both topics of interest to me. I hope to take one of her classes soon.
