Cedrus

One of the few plants in the garden when we moved here. It seemed to dominate and darken the side garden, along with a diseased horse chestnut and lots of self sown saplings. These have been cleared in the last few years and removing the lower branches of the cedrus opened up the views all round. I think there is a place for dark and gloominess in the garden, but this wasn't the right spot.
