Duck!

Took a stroll down to the Hogsmill with the express intention of trying to snap a few birds. After an hour or so I was developing a bit of a complex as every time I started to raise the camera, at no matter what species, it promptly flew away!

I'd resigned myself to blipping one of a bunch of rather lacklustre shots of seed heads or catkins when I spotted this drake mallard just down from the bridge by the park exit. Mercifully he didn't fly away but he did stick his head under the water!

This works better in full screen but IMHO last years blip is actually more worth looking at
