Snatched
Gizmo, our third cat - cousin to the other two - spent the first week of his life with us hiding under the sink. Eventually we had to break open a wall to get him out.
The next week was spent behind the toilet and since then he has chosen to pass most of his time out of doors or underneath something ...a sofa, a bed, a table, it doesn't really matter what as long as he is not in direct view and is not being looked at.
Cathleen and I have detected a slight softening of this eccentric but firmly held stance in recent weeks, perhaps because of the cold or perhaps because he is is coming on for eight years old and is looking for a more comfortable life.
So today he actually walked past me in the conservatory though I had to snatch a picture quickly before he disappeared under a chair.
He is , however, a lovely looking cat though he would look even better if he allowed us to comb the matted hair out .
