for a New Task

We have a small charity that dedicates itself to clearing the litter from our beaches and foreshore.  They first came to my attention a couple of months ago when they started a project to rebuild part of a coastal footpath in a local beauty spot and started to involve youngsters who are completing Community Service.

Here you see my first spell on the job assisting in the cleaning of rubbish from a nearby beach.  The charity is aptly named "Beach Buddies"  I was surprised by just how much rubbish was collected on today's task.
