Friends

I had a lovely evening at my friend's surprise 50th. And surprise it was! Lovely to catch up with friends.

Then this morning a visit from a friend not seen for 15+ years. This was my eldest son's first girlfriend, who almost lived with us for quite some time. I was as upset as them when they split up! Both have moved on, married, got children and lead different lives, but it was so nice to see her, and I was so proud of all that she has achieved.

And so, despite 'the dog' being husband's and I didn't want the responsibility again, I sometimes do like to don my wellies and yomp through the woods with my canine friend.
