501 's

I hardly dare admit this, but..... It was only when I stepped into Blipland today that I realised yesterday was my 500th Blip! I couldn't believe how many comments there were and so complimentary too. Thanks to all of you for the congratulations and nice comments about the Bakewell. I wish I could send you all a piece, indulge me in a small boast but it really was delicious, definitely going to be repeated!
I thought I had better pull something out of the hat in recognition of the Blip milestone. So here is my offering. I don't know if 501 's are still made but these were dug out of a cupboard for the occasion. I am told Bob Dylan also wore 501 's, not this pair obviously!
Today has been glorious and totally different from recent grey, cold and wet days. Took a brief shopping trip to Northallerton which was hugely successful. Very pleased with my three purchases and there was 20% off ! Great.
The day got hotter and hotter and the afternoon was just beautiful. Went a bike ride passing through some lovely NY countryside. I did get off rather more than when I did the same route a few days ago, the heat you know. Reminded myself that pushing uphill was also good exercise. Lovely to be out in the wonderful weather. Once back I did a bit of planting out then gave in and did some relaxing with a cuppa. Started to sort out packing for my trip to Amsterdam on Thursday. How many pairs of shoes do you need for a week? Quite a lot it seems!
