Sunlight through Beeches
The sun shone, so I went for a walk in the Beech woods of the Chilterns.
The birdsong was incredible, dominated by the glorious sound of the Blackcaps (Sylvia atricapilla) Their flute like song earns them the name of Northern Nightingale.
The alarm call is also distinctive, sounding like two pebbles being struck against eachother.
What a glorious way to spend an hour at lunchtime.
